Mini Apple Pie

It was a baking and college football kind of Saturday for me. Since I love autumn, I have been looking up some fall receipts on Pinterest. I found this receipt and I wanted to try it right away.  These little caramel apple pies are the cutest thing to take for a party or to give away for holiday gifts. They are bite size and not as many calories compared to eating a slice of regular sized apple pie. They are so cute and tasty, and I hope you guys try this receipt.

Ingredients:
1 box of Pillsbury pie crust (or any brand you prefer)
2 cups of peeled Granny Smith
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
10-15 Caramel cubes (varies in number)
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
egg wash (1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water)
crystal sugar
Step 1: Combine apple cubes, cinnamon, lemon juice, flour, and sugar.
Step 2: Roll out dough and use a three inch cutter or glass jar to make the circles.

Step 3: Spoon tablespoon scoops of the apple filling onto half the circle cutouts.
Step 4: Now place the caramel cubes around the filling. Cutting the store bought cubes into four smaller cubes may be necessary. Do not over fill!
Step 5: Place a circle cut out over the filling and press down all around the sides. Use the end of a fork to form the lines on the edges.

Step 6: Spread the egg wash over the top of the mini pie, and then sprinkle crystal sugar. The egg wash acts as a glue for the sugar and dough and gives the mini pie a little glow.

Step 7: Preheat over on 425 degrees. Cook for 15 minutes and you will have tasteful and cute mini apple pies.

Thanks for reading. Hope you guys enjoy! :)

Autumn Inspiration

My favorite season is almost here and I am so excited that I wanted to do a post dedicated to it. I love the season Fall because it is full of color, scarves, boots and baking and so much more. It is just my favorite time ever. I wanted to do this Autumn post to share all the things I love about this season, and hopefully inspire some of you.
My fall schedule is packed of exciting and stressful things. Hopefully by the end of 2014 I will have the majority of my college requirements done and ready to go. I have chosen to attend Arkansas Tech University in Fall 2015. I have so much to do from now until then, but it will all be worth it in the end. I am also getting my senior pictures taken in November, and doing fall senior sessions of my own. I am super excited about doing some of my classmates senior pictures.
All these pictures I got from Pinterest. I chose a few Fall clothing pictures, because one of my favorite parts about this season is all the cute clothes. In the morning I can just throw on a big sweater with leggings and boots and look as cute as if I took two hours to get ready.
I wanted to get pictures of fall decorations, food, and drinks also. I think that decorating pumpkins in a unique way can be so much fun and make your house more festive. When it comes to baking I love to try new things. I work at a coffee shop so I will definitely be drinking tons of fall inspired drinks and baking like no other.
One of my goals for this Fall (or winter) is to have a Pinterest party. I have always wanted to have one, but never quite knew what to do. My idea is to invite my friends over and we can bake and carve pumpkins and make cute crafts that are festive for the season. I'm really eager to see if this will all work. We will see.
Be prepared to see more fall inspired post. I hope you guys in enjoy this Fall post and hopefully it is an inspiration to you guys as it is to me. :)

Strawberry Bluffs

This Easter it will be five years since my uncle Tad died. Where I live there is a place called Strawberry Bluffs (it's called Strawberry because it's on Strawberry Loop not because there are strawberries. Lol) and this was my uncles favorite place to go. My family and I went to the bluffs a few times before my uncle died but we started to go more often after his death. This was also the place where he wanted his ashes to be spread. Strawberry Bluffs is a special place for my family because it is a few things we have to remind us of my uncle.
Last Sunday the weather was super nice and we took advantage of it and drove up to the bluffs. Something that made it a lot for special this time was that we got to take Enrique up there for his first time. He loved the view so much and had a blast. We will definitely be going up there again soon.

Vintage Cameras

When I became interested in photography I was not just interested in modern digital cameras but I was fascinated with older cameras like Polaroids and film. I own two Polaroids and two film cameras. My Papa and Noni passed down their Polaroids from when they were younger down to me. I was super excited, but I wasn't excited about how hard it was to find Polaroid film. So a few years ago my dad somehow found film for them and surprised me with it for Christmas.
My Argus and Pentax I bought at antique stores both for less than $10 each. I have not had the chance to try out my film cameras even after having them for a few years. But that is definitely one of my goals for the future. I also hope to collect more as I go as a photographer.
I haven't made a blog post in a while so I decided to do a photoshoot based on my vintage cameras. Each camera I chose a different outfit that I thought went good with the camera.
Hope you guys enjoy. :)
